Lewis Jones is shown as being buried in Section 2, grave 1484 at Marion
National Cemetery. This may be a different soldier since your info has him
in the 1910 cencus and the death date is Nov 4,1908.

Dawna,
Interment.net shows one Lewis JONES, no middle name or initial, buried at the Marion (IN) National Cemetery, which
is on the grounds of the Soldiers' Home/VA Hospital/new name? in Marion. This JONES record is marked as "not verified as accurate."
If you'll go to interment.net and bring up a list of burial records, you'll see where to find more information on unverified burial records.
This Lewis JONES' death date is given as 4 Nov. 1908, so you'd need to find out whether the 1908 is correct - unless you know that
"your" Lewis JONES was buried elsewhere.
You might also write to the Grant County Health Department, Court House, Marion, IN 46952, and request a photocopy of the death
certificate of the above Lewis. Enclose a small check - IN county offices are allowed to charge only for the actual cost of making
copies-, plus a SASE (stamped, self-addressed envelope.)
Good luck!
Bobbi
I recently got the index to disabled veterans in the soldiers home in Marion, Grant county. The peson I was looking for, Lewis Thomas JONES, was not listed on it. I know he was there because he was listed as living there on the 1910 census.
Does anyone have any suggestions On where I could find more information?
Thanks,
Dawna in Oregon
That's a pretty rude answer to a legitimate question!
