Ernie,
Its good to see you on this list. Didn't know if you had seen it
yet, but I have worked with Judy Murphy to get a site started for
all of the cemeteries in Gibson County. She has placed a link to
the first part of this on the Gibson GenWeb page. The first part
only shows the names of the cemeteries (by township). It is
hoped to get the credits placed on the page for all of you who
have spent several hours at the cemeteries transcribing
tombstones.
I also hope we can correct any inaccuracies and fill-in the open
spaces. Just last week, I approached the Gibson County
Historical Society requesting their participation in this
project. They will discuss it at their next Board meeting. I
hope to begin placing hyperlinks from the names to individual
pages for each cemetery containing the transcribed info.
However, I think it is best to do this in an orderly, consistent
manner. It would be particularly helpful if the GCHS will lend
their existing transcriptions to this effort. I hope they agree.
Anyway, any input you or others out there have will be
appreciated.

Hello,
I just discovered this list this morning, and subscribed. I am
researching
these surnames and related families:
BURTON
LASLEY
LESLEY
LESLIE
MARTIN
SCOTT
WOODS (have fairly large list of WOODS Descendants)
I also have information for MARSH CREEK (aka WOODS) and
CHAMBERS (ENON
Church) Cemeteries.
I will assist anyone wanting to locate graves in the 200+
cemeteries
scattered throughout Gibson County. I have a list and maps of
almost all.
