If you are a federal employee (military or civilian) or a retired federal
employee, you can now visit the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum's Permanent
Exhibition in Washington, DC at no cost. This offer is from September 1 to
December 31, 1999. To enter, you just need your federal government ID or,
if you are retired, your retirement claim number.
Those wishing to take advantage of this opportunity should show their ID at
the Museum's pass desk (inside the 14th Street entrance to the Museum) to
receive immediate entry passes for the Permanent Exhibition. An individual
may bring up to 4 guests and there is no limit on the number of visits. No
day or time restrictions apply, though passes must be used on the day they
are issued.
The Museum is located adjacent to the Mall, just south of Independence
Ave., S.W., between 14th Street and Raoul Wallenberg Place (formerly 15th
Street), and is open daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm. The Museum is closed on
Yom Kippur (September 20, 1999) and Christmas Day. For additional
