This is interesting and something of which I had not been aware -- I know
from now on I will be asking for the Complete records as opposed to just the
probate records for my family members.
I asked for permission to put this out to ya'll and he said yes. Here it is.

>>Dear Judith,
>>I have intended to write you about this for some time and tonight I
am
>>going to do it.
>>For years when I order the probate records for any Indiana county, I
>>simply order the probate records for a given time period. But for
>>some reason I noticed on the fiche showing the probate records that
>>below them on the fiche was "Complete Probate Records." So I order
>>these records from the "complete" listing. Wow, did it make a
>>difference. The complete probate records are the original with all
the
>>names, etc. The Probate records are transcribed and leave out some
>>inportant names and other facts.
>>Were you aware of this? I have never seen anyone comment on this
fact
>>on the Indiana GenWeb pages.
>>Thanks for listening.
