Hello to all on the Gibson County List,
Thanks to all who responded to my request! I was able to find what I needed from the
Stormont history that is on-line. I did have
some difficulty on getting the whole page (book)to load. Has anybody else had trouble
with getting this to load?
I am researching the Civil War regiment the 42nd Indiana Volunteer Infantry. I am also
interested in finding more information about
the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) posts that were organized in Gibson County.
Stormont's history contained some very interesting
information that will be of much use to me.
Thanks Again,
Tim Beckman
42nd Indiana Volunteer Infantry

Hello Tim,
Stormont's History is on-line here:
http://www.usroots.com/~jmurphy/gibson/stormont.htm
It is slow loading, quite a few pages to it.
