Well, I see the problem with rootsweb STILL hasn't been fixed and still empty messages
from my main email address -- so here is what I had written:
The Gibson Co USGenWeb Project changed hands when I was removed as county coordinator
about 2 yrs ago and what I had there was copyrighted to me and I still have on my website.
There never was a birth one since WPA didn't do the birth for the county and the
birth there was what I had obtained from other documents as well as from the social
security site for all I could find from the county. I am currently trying to obtain all
the month and years for births using the 1900 census but don't have that up yet.
The person who had taken over had copied my copyrighted stuff and put it there (instead
of just linking to me) and then I don't know why, but she gave the site up about 6mos
or so ago and the county coordinator for Pike Co took it over and what he had obtained he
put online and the rest he linked to my website so people could still find the stuff. Due
to death of his son he has given up the website and unsure if anyone has taken it over yet
or not. And that is why the stuff isn't at that website anymore. Hopefully the new
county coordinator will do a lot for the county and put up data just as I and the others
had tried to do. I am currently still working on the 1900 census and hopefully before the
end of Sept will have most of that census online at my website (not the USGenWeb Project
website). Someday I am sure that and other things will be on the USGenWeb Project
website. Some of the things are still in the archives for the project and you can go
there to get some
stuff.
Although not the USGenWeb Project website, persons can still get what I have done (over
11yrs of work) at:
http://www.usroots.com/~jmurphy/gibson/gibson.htm
My best to the new project county coordinator and to all ya'll on this list.

---Bill Hunter had written:
The WPA compiled birth, marriage and death records for Gibson County
were on the Gibson County USGenWeb site.
What happened to them?
