Hello,
I am still searching for my family that lived in the Gibson and Pike
Co area from l880- l910 and may be even longer. They were all farmers and some
owned land and others worked for farmers that owned their own land, I was
wondering is there a way I can check out possible areas they may have worked.
I do have them listed in census in both these counties and they are
listed as farmers. One my GGrandfather John Isaacs died in about l899 late or
early l900, I was thinking maybe he died on a farm working, as I have not been
able to find a death record or burial.
If anyone could be of any help I surely would appreciate it. The last
name being Isaacs. The s was later dropped. I have had help from someone
before on Green Isaac who was a farmer in Patoka. I have listings of family in
that area as well as I believe it is White River. My Grandfather and some of
his siblings were in the Patoka orphanage after my GGrandfather John Isaacs
died. One of his brothers was Robert Isaacs and Green Isaacs. Thank you to
anyone that may be able to help me.
Regards, Pat (isaac) Baumgardner (from
Michigan)
