In the printed version of the 1850 Gibson Co. census starting on "sheet 88
page 176" household 1155 we have John C Moore 49, farmer b.NC with wife
Eliza 34 b. VA and the following children: (all born Indiana)
Mary A. 14
Elizabeth 12
John C Jr. 10
Rebecca 8
Eliza J 6
(sheet 89 page 177)
Joseph Moore 4
Edward 1
David J 15
In the (also printed) 1870 Gibson Co. census we have on page 941 in
Washington Twp. household 1213/1218:
Moor, Eliza 46 Farmer 3000/700 VA
Turpen, Elizabeth 22 /100 IN
Moor, John 20 "
" , Rebecca 18 "
" , Eliza J. 16 "
" ,Joseph 14 "
" , Edward 11 "
" , Celia 8 "
" , David 6 "
" , Sarah 4 "
Turpen, Wm. H. 2 "
The 1870 census has no Joseph, and no 7 year old John, if that is what you
are looking for. If the above family turns out to be what you are looking
for, I have found the marriage of John Moore and Eliza Dawson on 10-30-1834.

Yes, There is a Joseph Moore on the 1850 Gibson Co census,
Washington
Township. Page 89. Image 179 on the
Ancestry.com census on line.
HOWEVER,
at the moment one cannot view the Image; they say there is a
temporary
problem and they are working on it. Try again later. Also, in th 1900
census, same co and twnshp, there are several Moore families listed in
adjoining homes or nearby. They may be offspring of your Moores. This is
on Microfilm 371, Book 2, page 278. Try some other source for that 1850
census---you should see the entire family. Good
Luck..........Nancy
