I'm collecting family information on Strickland descendents. I am descended from
Stephen Strickland (1767-1839) who came to Gibson Co in 1808; son James Strickland
(1818-1890; grandson William Strickland, (1867-1908), all Baptist preachers at Providence
Baptist Church. I have discovered (thru DNA testing) that Stepen is descendended from
Matthew Strickland, of Isle of Wight VA, the immigrant ancestor, but the direct link
continues to elude me. Any help out there?
Other Gibson county families are Skelton, Heironimus, Clark.
