Does anyone know if the tax rolls exist from about 1865-1872? And how to get
them? I sent several letters to the courthouse several years ago with no
reply. Any ideas? Thanks Dave Strong

Shirley, Bill from California & others,
Some of these older records were microfilmed, then the originals
discarded. The people at the court house should have been able to help
you
locate the records on microfilm.
Some wonderful people with the Historical Society and the ladies in the
Genealogy section at the Princeton Library saved many of these old
discarded records. Call the Library at 812-385-4464 and ask for the
Genealogy Department. Betty or Bonnie should be able to tell you if they
have the records you are searching for.
