Hi-- There is a booklet listed the dead folks in Maumee Cemetery, as well
as some of the other cemeteries in Gibson County. The genealogy room of
the library in Princeton has a copy. I can't tell you where Maumee is
located except I think it is in Johnson Twp. The staff in the genealogy
room are very, very helpful and might make a copy for you. When I was
over there, they were so helpful to me and knew their local history (which
is good). The phone number of the library is 812-385-4464 and they can
connect you to the genealogy room. I am assuming they open at 9 a.m.--
Princeton is one the same time that Dallas, TX is on-- if that will help
you. I live in IN and IN is divided time-wise (an hour behind me). And
I think there is also a Maumee Cemetery in White Co., IL, across the Wabash
River (west of Gibson Co). Good luck. Helen Zuber Keusch

Subject: [INGIBSON] Maumec cemetery
Does anyone know where the Maumec cemetery is located and if there is
a
transcript for that cemetery? Looking for a Rebeca or Rebecca Maddox or
Maddax that is supposed to be buried there in Apr 1901.
Thank you for your help and suggestions
Sincerely
Lara
