Does anyone know who or what The Davidson County Rangers were.
Does anyone know who and what Lieut Walkers Rangers were. Both are shown as
for The territory South of The Ohio, so Iassume they were a band of Peace
keepers or Indian Fighters due the time period. I am seeking information on
a George NUTTERFIELD who signed on as a private in 1792. Where were they
formed? Where did they recruit. I do know that George settled in Shelby Co,
Ky as early as 1790. I am seeking any information. George is shown on FTM
records as Revolutionary War 1780-1789, but, the only record I have, so far
is with the 2 above units. I asume that the Davidson County referred is
Davidson County Tn, as I dont know of another at that time. Or, it could
have been the home of Lt Walker. I have tried Ky archives and Nashville
archives, But, my experience is very Limited on records like these, so I
probably didnt do it right.I have been seeking info on George for about 30
years, so, naturally, I would be thrilled and appreciative for any
info.George is also shown as George NUTTERFEE/NUTTER, on various records,
and married Nancy Stepp McWilliams June 1804 in Shelby Co Ky.

Help please.
Does anyone have access to the 1870 Indiana Census
Index? I am looking for William GOODWIN &/or Jarret
GOODWIN. Thanks for your help.
The 1860 Census of Gibson Co. Johnson TWP Page 928 shows:
William GOODWIN Farmer age: 25 Birthplace: Indiana
Rachel GOODWIN age:22 (we know this is Rachel Taylor
SHORT)
Nancy GOODWIN age:1
Sarah GOODWIN age: 1
Same household:Olphia MYERS age 7
All born Indiana.
William Jarret GOODWIN & Rachel Taylor SHORT were
married April 11, 1858 Vanderburgh Co., IN. Rachel was
from Vanderburgh Co., but I can find no record of
William GOODWIN prior to his marriage to Rachel and the
1860 census record. I have gone thru all Indiana
William Goodwin's in 1850 census. Close, but after
further investigation none have been found to be mine so
far. I have found a Jarret GOODWIN marriage to Sarah
WILKERSON in Vanderburgh Co. December 5, 1833. I have
not linked them to my William yet. I know GOODWIN's and
WILKERSON's have ties to GIBSON Co. So I am hoping
someone will recognize my family.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello!
Newcomer to INGIBSON!
We are researching Crowder's from Gibson County, IN , I think Oakland
City. My G-Grandfather's name is James Harvey Crowder. From my records
he was born in 1881 in Gibson Co. and died in Madison, Madison County,
IL in 1943 or 1944.
We have no idea of his parents or siblings. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks, Cindy
