If I get to Rochester.... I'd like to "prepare" for the trip. What kinds
of info might one find at the Museum? Is the Museum open weekdays? Do
they have a website or email address?
The Fulton Co Museum 4 miles north of Rochester on New U.S. 31 (the 4-lane
road that goes around town). Actual address is 37E 375N, Rochester, IN
46975. Phone 219 -223-4436. Hours Mon-Sat 9-5. Web page is
www.icss.net/~fchs It has about 11 restored buildings, including one of
central/northern Indiana's famed Round Barns. It is operated by the Fulton
County Historical Society, dues $15/year, as I recall. They do have
genealogy resources.
I also recommend you visit the Fulton Co. Library at 320 W. 7th St. in
Rochester. They now have many, if not all, of the valued Tombaugh
reference books. Phone 219-223-2713. Mon-Fri 9-8, Sat
9-5. email rochester(a)fulco.lib.in.us There are also branches in Fulton,
Kewanna, Leiters Ford, and Akron that have area-specific materials. Web
is

Hope this helps,
