I saw your e-mail regarding closing the St. Peter’s Catholic Church. When did they do
that and do you have any idea to where the records were transferred? Many of my ancestors
attended that church and I would dearly love to see some of the records from 1825 to
1900.
My families included Berninger, Schmitt, Elbert, Mesner. and Hetrick.

Hi Becky- I am wondering if you have any Ambergers or Gehrich funeral cards. Many times
when family moved out of the area of small town settlements they often went back for
funerals to see friends and neighbors again- and family too, of course.
I just went down to St. Peter to do research- they will allow you to look at all their
record books. If you have any records from St. Mary's of the Rock, I would call down
there to see where they moved the records once they closed that church this summer.

Hello,
I am a descendant of Recompense and Catherine Newkirk Murphy through their son Jacob
Newkirk. Right now I cannot afford to join but am on a free immigration search special
through Labor Day 2013 and came across your post.
I would be delighted if you could possibly email the pictures of the Recompense Murphy
children. I also have some pictures and in return could scan and email them to you.
Perhaps some of yours are the same as mine.
Thank you so much.
