Message Board Post:
I'm looking for others researching and more info on the HAHN and/or WORST surname. My
3rd-great-grandparents, Valentine & Elizabeth (WORST) HAHN lived for a time and have a
connection to Franklin county, and may be buried in St. Anne's cemetery in Hamburg.
Information on them and their children is as follows:
Valentine HAHN
Born: 1807 in Germany (Possibly 14 Mar 1807)
Died: After 1880 in Indiana (Possibly 24 Dec 1886 in Hamburg)
Elizabeth (WORST) HAHN
Born: 1809 in Bavaria/Germany
Died: After 1880 (Most likely in Indiana, possibly Franklin or Dearborn county)
CHILDREN:
Joseph HAHN (1835-1809)
Spouse: Eva Barbara BISCHOF/BISHOP
Barbara (HAHN) HERBERT (1837-1921)
Spouse: Mathais Martin HERBERT
Frederick HAHN (1841-1897)
Spouse: Sarah Ann GARD
Magdalena "Lena" (HAHN) SEIBEL-BITTNER (1843-1918)
Spouses: Henry SEIBEL and Peter BITTNER
Mary Anna (HAHN) SEIBEL (1846-1928)
Spouse: Michael SEIBEL
Margaretta HAHN (1850-?)
Spouse: Unknown
John William HAHN (1853 or 1855-1926)
Spouse: Margaret SCHAFFER
I believe that Elizabeth (WORST) HAHN was the niece of Andreas "Andrew" WORST
who died in 1875 in Kelso, Dearborn, Indiana, but haven't been able to confirm that
100%. I've been unable to find immigrations records for Valentine or Elizabeth, but
census records show that their oldest child was born in Ohio in 1835.
I'm very interested in learning more about this family and exchanging info with others
with the same research interests. Thank-you!
