Just an interesting possibility: My great, great grandfather, George Adam
Ripp, immigrated from Bavaria in 1834, and settled in Franklin County,
Indiana. He married Catherine Ann Brill there in 1835. After her death in
1856 he married Barabara Harlopp in Franklin County. After the 1860 census I
found him in Fulton County, Illinois where in 1870 he married a Mrs. Mary
Waltz, who had a daughter Bena Waltz and a son George Waltz, both apparently
born in the 1860s. Does any of this Waltz family data bear at all with any
of yours? Probably not, but worth a try.
Mason Ripp

I'm looking for other researchers of the Waltz family who came from
Bedford Co PA to Franklin Co IN. I know of at least two lines of the
family that settled in Franklin Co IN. Margaret (Waltz) Kershner b. abt
1818 [wife of Heinrich Kershner], and Job Waltz b. circa 1810, and was the
ancestor of many Waltz families primarily in Whitewater Township.
