Dear Randy,
I remember when Franklin County, Indiana, was a GenWeb orphan,
And I thought I was the only one who cared,
Then along came Randy Klemme, a real leader,
A builder who encouraged, who helped, who shared.
You linked us all together like sausages, and made basic changes
When basic changes needed to be made.
You listened to every little hint of dissatisfaction,
And made improvements up to this very day.
It will take more than one person to replace you
As the guardian of this vital GenWeb site,
But you've grown a bumper crop of leaders--
Folks who won't let your good work fade from sight.
If I had a gold medal I would give it to you,
If I had a 20-generation Klemme family tree it would be yours,
But the best gift we can give you, Randy Klemme,
Is to keep this beautiful site up and running like a horse!
And someday when I learn to rhyme my words
A little better than I do right now,
I'll write a better tribute to a true GenWeb pioneer--
In the meantime, Randy Klemme, take a bow!
Best wishes!

Best wishes to you in your other six careers,
Give us the benefit of your observations and advice
You've left some massive footprints for us to follow
