Hello Randy and all,
Since I live in Minnesota, I dont get many chances to dig around in
person in Franklin County. However, I will be in Brookville in late
July, and plan to look up some family members in Maple Grove Cemetery.
The problem is, I will have a VERY short time to spend in Brookville.
It would be a great help to have things in place before my visit.
Winifred Meyer, of the Brookville Town-Township Library, has been very
helpful, but I still need help with this question:
Who do I see in Brookville to find the locations of graves in Maple
Grove Cem.? Does the cemetery have an office with someone on duty
during the day?
I will be looking for these ELLIS and SELLERS:
John C. ELLIS b. 17 Jan 1831 in TN., moved to Brookville in 1849,
m. Harriet QUICK on 2 May 1852, d. 17 April 1919 in Brookville.
John and Harriet Ellis had 12 children:
Sarah Jane (Ellis) Cooksey
Mary Catherine (Ellis) Hayden
Emma Adeline Ellis
James E. Ellis
Cyrus Clayton Ellis (wife Mary)
Hannah Ann Anna (Ellis) Graham
Otis Monroe Ellis
Nancy Louvesta (Ellis) (Sellers) Phennis
Myrtle E. (Ellis) Abbot
John L. Ellis
Martha Ellen Ellis[died in infancy]
Charles H. Spurgeon Ellis [died in infancy]
E. D. SELLERS (or SELLER) m. Lidana TEMPLIN
Children of E. D. Seller(s) and Lidana Templin were (I believe):
William J. b. Jan 21, 1867 in Indiana
Mike
Milton
Dan
Viola
Thanks for any information on these families, and especially for help
with Maple Grove Cemetery.
Darrell in Minnesota
