The "Gore" book is wonderful. It had my some deeds for my
people, who
lived
at the time in Ohio, and were buying land in Franklin preparatory to
moving
there. Their are people on this list, or were, who have this book and did
lookups. It was a while ago, though.
Might I suggest to learn what it was like in the early days, check the
histories of nearby counties. Their history of the settlers would be the
same.
Shelby Co has a good history. [ I think actually more than one.] Go to

site.
