Mary Ann,
I have some Myers in my data base but find no connection to Jacob Myers, but I did glance
at his pension file (#S35533), which you may already have.
It did not contain much info, but did specify he was allowed pension on his application
executed July 19,1819, at which time he was a resident of Franklin County, Indiana and
gave his age as seventy-eight years.
In 1823 he was residing in Fayette County, Indiana, and again gave his age as
seventy-eight years. Living with him was his wife and mother-in-law. No names were given
and no reference made to children. Date and place of birth not given and names of his
parents not shown.
He enlisted in Guilford County, North Carolina, in June or July 1777, served as a private
in Captain William Lytle's North Carolina Company and in Colonel Archibald Lytle's
North Carolina Regiment. . .
Inscribed on the Roll of Indiana at the rate of 8 Dollars per month, to commence on 19th
of July 1819.
There is History of Franklin County, Indiana, by A. J. Reifel (1915) wherein, Jacob Myers
is listed under Revolutionary Soldiers of Franklin County (p. 280), but no further
information.
Good luck,
Bertie Updike Herman
