This book has no cover, and no index, and no author. I bought it on Ebay; it just has the
insides, but it is full of Indiana biographies. I am not researching this family, just
thought I would share. I do not know anymore about these families or these surnames. NOTE:
I don’t know if there is any additional mention of this family in the book, it has no
index. I do not want to sell this book. I am typing the biographies from it.

Surnames in this biography are: Miller, Ferguson, Andra, Pendelton, Elwood, Meyer,
FRANK H. MILLER is senior member of the firm Miller & Ferguson, undertakers and
funeral directors at Attica. Mr. Miller is a native of Indiana, and before coming to
Fountain County was well known in the business and official affairs of Fayette County.
He was born at Connersville, November 24, 1882. His father, John Miller, a native of
St. Louis, spent his active career as a blacksmith and machinist. He is now
seventy-eight years of age. He married Mary Andra, who was born in Pennsylvania
and came to Indiana with her parents when she was a child. She is now seventy-six. They
had four children: Emma, Ruth (who is deceased), Frank H. and Marion. Emma is the wife of
William Pendelton, of Indianapolis. Marion is the wife of Russell Elwood, of Connersville.
Frank H. Miller attended public schools in Connersville, had a high school course, and as
a youth began learning the trade of machinist. This was his occupation for fifteen years.
While working !
he became active in politics and in 1918 was elected county recorder of Fayette County. He
filled that office for eight years. About the time he left office he took up the study of
embalming in the Indianapolis Embalming School, was given a state license in November,
1926, and soon afterward joined Mr. Ernest C. Ferguson in the undertaking business at
Attica. They have a complete and modern establishment, with all the facilities for
service. Mr. Miller married, January 28, 1911, Miss Josephine H. Meyer, of Cincinnati,
Ohio. They have a son, John H., born in January, 1918. Mr. Miller is a Republican, is
affiliated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Improved Order of Red Men and
Fraternal Order of Eagles.
