The Penner families live in Fulton and Wabash Townships in Fountain County. Looking
through the cemetery records, I find....
Snoddy Cemetery
Christian...died May 28, 1857 77y 9m 3d
Mary...w/o Christian died Oct. 15, 1837 56y (Since Christian's Mary showed on the
later censuses, this Mary must be the wife of the other Christian Penner)
Looking thru all of Wabash and Fulton, I found Penners buried in the West Liberty
Cemetery, Snoddy Cemetery, and Cooper's Chapel Cemetery.
Census records show that Christian was born in Virginia. Also in the 1850 census in
Christian's household, John who was 14 years old was blind.
Censuses before 1850 did not show the names of who lived in the households, so we
can't tell what the names of the children were.
Looking at marriage records, I found...
John Penner who married Mary Ann Elwell on 1-7-1839
Betsy Ann Penner who married Kelom Abernathy 7-28-1836
Julia Ann Penner who married Robert Green 9-2-1838
