Danville, Illinois or Crawfordsville, Indiana are the best lodging places
for motels. I think there is one bed and breakfast in Covington, IN, and
the bed and breakfasts in Hillsboro, IN, connected to the Myers Music Hall.
The West Central Indiana Genealogy Research Library is the best place to
find cemetery readings, cemetery indexes, marriage records, funeral home
records, many books of obituaries, all indexed as well as family histories,
family records and pedigree charts of local families.
The library is open Mondays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the first
and third Saturdays at the same hours. Other times are available by
previous arrangements.
Covington and Attica Public Libraries have some records and microfilm in
their genealogy departments.

Subject: [INFOUNTA] Fountain County Lodging
I am considering a genealogy research trip to Fountain county this
summer and wonder what lodging options there are available.
I expect to spend time in both Covington and Veedersburg. I know
there are quite a few lodging options in Danville, IL but what could
be recommended that is closer yet?
I would also appreciate guidance on where to best spend my time which
will likely be a day and a half or so.
And are certain days of the week better than others for access to
records, libraries, etc?
Thanks in advance for any help.
