In the meantime, I also contacted a Dixon researcher. They had no Biggs records, but did
find Nancy Dixon. She was apparently Elsie Dixon Clem's aunt.
The Uriah who married Jane Baythe isn't the one we're looking for. I think that
Pat Hodges has researched him---he moved out to Iowa and Kansas and became a wealthy real
estate specultor. I got the information about the other Uriah and Jane Dixon from someone
awhile back, I'll have to check my note as to sources, &c. One wouldn't think
the name Uriah Biggs would be so common! I think they're probably all related
somehow.
The Uriah and Jane, if they were the parents of the 3 orphans probably died between
1855-1860. Harvey, the last child, was born in 1854 and in 1860 they were orphans.
A real irony that I noticed was that when Frank & Laura died in 1892, they also left
three orphans: two girls and a boy the same ages.
Let me know what else turns up! Thanks again-----ERIC
