Crawfordsville Review Monday Feb 14, 1916 -- Covington Feb 11 -- Sorrowful tidings came
this morning contained in a dispatch announcing the death of Thomas Marcus ROGERS at St.
Petersburg FL. Mr. Rogers was one of Covington's best known citizens and his death has
cast a gloom over the community. He had been in poor health for some time and about 3
weeks ago, accompanied by his wife he went to Florida in the hopes that his health might
be benefitted by the change of climate. Friends received word form tthe Rogers Family
nearly every day and he was reported to be regaining strength and imrpvoing in health. He
was suffering from a complicating of diseases but the imediate cause of death is reported
as due to urameic poisoning. Thomas Marcus Rogers was born in Ohio 68 years ago. He came
to Covington from Farmer City Ill about 1878. He lived in Warren County for a number of
years and was successful as a farmer. He quit active farm work about 14 years afo and has
since lived a retired life in Covington. He was a prominent member of the Presbyterian
Church and also belonged to the Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodge. A widow and two
children survive. They are Leroy Rogers of this place and Mrs. Harry McGurk of Terre
Haute.

Crawfordsville Review Monday Feb 14,1916 -- Danville Ill Press -- Mrs. Mary CRAFT, an
invalid for the past six years died yesterday morning Feb 11, 1916 at the great age of 94.
Her death occurred at 8:45 o'clock at the home of her son, Thomas Craft, 504 N. Logan
Ave and was caused by paralysis. Mrs. Craft was the widow of late Jonathan Craft, a
pioneer of Cates Station Ind who passed away at the home there more than 24 years ago.
Following the death of her husband Mrs. Craft spent many years of her widowhood at the
home of a daughter, Mrs. katie Bell at Veedersburg. She came to Danville severalmonths ago
to make her home iwth her son, Thomas Craft. The decedent was born July 22, 1822 in Parke
Co Indiana. She is survived by the following children: Thomas of Danville; John of
Bloomindale, Ind; Joseph of Oakwood, Ill; Michael of Attica, in; Mrs. Kattie Bell of
Veedersburg, Frank Kraft of Veedersburg and Mrs. Lydia Hayden, Indianapolis.

Crawfordsville Review Thursday Feb 17, 1916 -- Veedersburg - Mrs. Priscilla YOUNT, 81,
mother of the late Hannibal C. Yount, a prominent lawyer and politician of Covington died
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dolly Morehouse northeast of this city Monday morning.
Mrs. Young has been in poor health for the past winter suffering from Bright's disease
which caused her death.. She was the widow of Matthias Young who preceded her in death
several years ago. The deceased is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Dolly Morehouse of near
this city, Mrs. Viola Whole of Mellott, and Mrs. India Little of Tipton. Her two sons
Napoleon and Hannibal having passed away the former about 26 years ago and the latter only
afew years prior to his mother's death. Mrs. Young was a kind loveing mother and good
friend to all who knew her. Funeral services were conducted from the Mellott Church
Wednesday morning at 9. INterment in The Lutheran Cemetery SE of Wallace.
