Wow, again! I have some questions, naturally, but I also have a lot more
information. How do I send it to you in the same fashion you sent it to me? I
have never been able to do more than share files. It also has some
undocumented guesses in it, do I need to remove those before sending to you? Or can
you tell it's undocumented by the quality of the sources?
I have a census entry of William Wert and I wondered if there were any other
William Werts that he could be confused with. Are there any marriages listed
this early? They show up in the 1860 census and I never see or hear of Mary
or Emma ever again. BUT no telling if this is my William Wert.
1860 United States Federal Census > Indiana > Montgomery > Ripley
P.O. Alimo (Alamo)
142 138
William Wert age 25 M Carpenter b. Ohio
Mary age 20 F b. Indiana
Emma age 1 F b. Indiana
Those in close proximity on the census pages with Wm Wert and his young
family are the following who are all farmers with large families:
Ogden Hughs b. Ohio & family
John Brown b. Ohio, Farmer & Family
Mathias Elmore b.
Nahamia Ham b. Ohio & family
Richard D. Wert, farmer b.NJ and family
Peter Musser b. PA and family
This is all rather confusing to write. I hope you are able to follow.
