Mrs. Jacob Bowman, whop assed away at her home Tuesday were held Thursday afternoon at 2
o'clock at Phanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Fry of Mellott in charge. ... A tiny
rosebud was born into the home of Daniel and Louisa Wilkinson at their home in Cincinnati,
Ohio on Oct 30, 1854 and was christened Cathrine. When a small child she moved to Indiana
where she has since resided. She was united in marriage to Jacob Bowman and to this union
were born 11 children, Eva, Grace., Lizzie and an infant boy preceded their mother in
death. Mrs. Bowman leaves to mourn her loss her husband, the sons, Charles of Danville,
Glenn of Attica, Ellis of Veedersburg, Roy, Pearly and Will of this place; a daughter,
Mrs. Walter Gott of Newtown; a sister, Mrs. Abbie Alward of this place and a brother,
Albert Wilkinson of Veedersburg; a numbe rof grandchildren and great grandchildren and
several nephews and nieces. mrs. Bowman was well respected and well like woman of the
community. She was alawys willing to help anyone when she could. Burial made in the
cemetery near the church.
