Crawfordsville Journal Review 27-Sep-1976 p 2 -- Covington - George Edgar Clodfelder (sic
- Clodfelter), 73 of Covington, a former school bus driver and farmer in the Kingman area,
died today in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. He had been ill 8 months. Mr.
Clodfelder had owned and operated the Lime Truck Service until 1963. He had retired from
farming in 1969. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Covington Sr. Citizens and
Fountain County Farm Bureau. A Fountain County native, he was born Jan 19, 1904, a son of
Charles and Hattie Groves Clodfelder. He was married to Ethie Cleo Brissey Dec 10, 1930.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lela Babb, of Covington; two brothers, Howard of Danville and
Elbert of Rt. Cates; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
wife, a son, a brother and two sisters. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bodine &
Shelby Funeral Home here with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday.
