Crawfordsville Journal Review 5-Feb-1966 p 6 -- HIllsboro - Harold Donovan, 77, resident
of HIllsboro for 38 yeares died Saturday morning at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown
where he had been living for the past 3 1/2 years. He was a self-employed masonry
contractor here many years. Prior to living in Hillsboro, Mr. Donovan resided in Wingate.
Born sept 6, 1888 of Wingate, he was the son of John Harvey and Ella Hartness Donovan.
He was married Nov 17, 1924 at Danville, Ill to Edna Snyder of Hillsboro. She died Oct
21, 1951. Mr. Donovan who was a member of the Wingate Christian Church was the lst of a
family of 8 children. Survivors inclue three sons, Forrest of Morgan City, La; harold Lee
of Hillsboro and John D of Wallace; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Brinkey of Bay Village,
Ohio; Mrs. Betty Brown of HIllsboro and Mrs. Norma Jean Gustus of Attica; 14 grandchildren
and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at
Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Charles Marshall in charge. Burial in
Rose HIll Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
