Eleanor Florence (Williams) Moots
Eleanor Florence (Williams) Moots, 74, Route 2, Syracuse,
ind., died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Meadow Heights Nursing Home,
Williamsport. She had been a resident
of both Regency Place, Lafayette, and Meadow Heights the past year. She had
been ill one year and seriously ill one month. Death was attributed to lung
cancer.
She was born in Noble County, Ind. Dec 27, 1911, the
youngest of 10 children of Curtis and Margaret Inks Williams. She graduated
from Ligonier High School and had lived in Fort Wayne for many years. She was
married March 20, 1936, to Vance Moots, at Fort Wayne. They moved to Papakeechie Lake,
Syracuse in 1949. They also had a
winter residence at Ellenton, Fla. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Don (Donna) Lyon,
Williamsport; two grandchildren, Jack and Natalie, and one sister, Evelyn
Williams, Milford.
Friends may call at Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse, after 1
p.m. today (Friday). Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today (Friday) with
burial at McClintic Cemetery, Syracuse.
