Crawfordsville Journal-Review June 25, 1962 p 6 - Ladoga - Mrs. Sylvia Mabel Ellis,
68-year-old resident of this community, died at 3 p.m. Sunday in Caylor-Nickel Clinic at
Bluffton after an extended illness. She had been bedfast two weeks. Born April 17, 1895 at
Waynetown, she was a daughter of Jason and Nancy Ann Mullen Keys. She married Virgil
Ellis Dec 24, 1912. They were married in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Ellis attended schoola
tWaynetown and lived in Montgomery and Fountain counties most of her life. She was a
member of the Methodist Church at Hillsboro, OES Chapter NO 97 at Crawfordsville and Royal
Neighbors of America Lodge. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Kenneth F of Marion
and Lester C. of Crawfordsville a sister, Mrs. Ralph Booker of McPherson, Kan; 9
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at Gephart Funeral Home here with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Interment
will be in Maosnic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral
home.
