Fred Krout passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Rose Pearson, Kramer, Monday
afternoon at 5:30. He had been in ill health for about a year, but death came suddenly
and as a a shock to his family and friends. r. Krout, son of Cyrus and Mary Catherine
Craft Krout, was born in Veedersburg June 14, 1896. When a young man, he worked at the
Brick Plant at Veedersburg and later did general farm work. He had lived in Lafayette for
eight years and for the past two years had made his home in Kramer. He is survived by one
brother, Forrest of Kramer, four sisters, Mrs. Rose Pearson and rs.Faye Philips of Kramer,
Mrs. Violet Fix of New York City and Mrs. Daisy Fox of Denver, Colorado. Friends may call
at the funeral home after 4:00, Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at the DeSutter
Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon at 2:00 with Douglas Dickey officiating. Interment will
be in Riverside Cemetery with R. A. DeSutter in charge of arrangements.
