Hi Karen,
I've been silent, but still an observer.
For the past couple years I have been busy working on genetic genealogy for
myself and my husband. When working with autosomal DNA, sometimes matches
take you in a direction that was previously unknown. My distant Lindley
DNA has bravely been staying together while some of my closer relatives'
DNA has gotten diluted.
My Lindley, Woody, Thompson, Crawford lines from Orange County, North
Carolina settled in Lawrence County, Indiana - I did not realize some of
the others were in Fountain County. Interesting bio's for Reuben and
Joseph Lindley. I don't have either in my tree and I'm not sure if I will
try to figure out how they are related. My most recent Lindley was Mary
(1717-1795), daughter of James Lindley and Elanore Parke. I have ten
children for James and Elanore but have only worked on two of them - my
Mary (who married John Woody) and her brother Thomas Lindley
Just thought I would say "hi" and nice picture of James and Margaret Hall
Woody.

Jennie sent another couple of pictures - may be from the Bowsher or
Lindley families or someone who ties into those families
Here they are - please take a look and see if they look familiar -- I
particularly love the family photo -- poppa must have done without to
get the little ones new shoes and the lone man's furrowed brow looks
familiar to me but just can't place him :(

Rare does anyone smile in these old pics, but by gum, she's got a hint
of a grin :)

maternity leave, but she decided not to come back - hmmmm - it was fun
and interesting but with 147 kids/day I didn't get much genealogy done -
I'm on a roll now, though :)
