New Market, Nov 29 - Mrs. Ellen Dickerson died Thanksgiving morning at 5
o'clock from heart trouble that had developed from influenza that she
had been ill with in early fall. Mrs. Dickerson was well known in the
vicinity in which she lived. She was 82 years old last July. She had
been making her home near Browns Valley but during her illness she was
brought to the home of her grandson, Wallace Caplinger, near New Market,
where she made her home until her death. She was first married to Thomas
Caplinger and to this union 4 children were born all of whom preceded
her in death. She was a member of the Universalist Church. Her husband,
John DIckerson, two grandchildren, Wallace Caplinger and Mrs. Louis
Sterling of Lebanon, and 3 great grandchildren survive her. Funeral
services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the New
