Veedersburg -- Leslie Lee Keller, 64 year old WWI veteran died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at
his home about 7 miles south of here. He had been in failing health the past 15 years and
seriously ill 5 months. Born March 11, 1896, near Veedersburg, he was a son of Ben and
Anna Krout Keller. He married Alpha M. Helms Dec 19, 1923. Mr. Keller, who was a truck
driver before failing health forced him to retire was a member of the Prairie Creek
Baptist Church. Survivors include the wife; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Axsom and Mrs.
Louis William, both of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Myerah Rusk of Junction City, KS; three
brothers, Arista of Veedersburg; Orville of Crawfordsville and Max of ALbuquerque NM and 4
sisters, Mrs. pearl hershberger and Mrs. Fay Minnick both of Veedersburg, mrs. Mildred
Lynn of Danville, Il; and Mrs. Wandeline Deck of Crawfordsville. Funeral rites are
announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fishero Funeral Home here with Rev. Harry Hybarger in
charge. Burial in Bonebrake Cemetery south of here.
