Crawfordsville Journal Review 2-Nov-1963 pg. 3:1- Mary GRAVES, 77, Hillsboro Dies; Funeral
Monday- HILLSBORO- Mrs. Mary Graves, 77, a resident of the Hillsboro area all of her life,
died Saturday morning in the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. She had been a
patient in the nursing home since July. Her parents were Byron and Sarah Kerr Frazier.
She lived on the family farm all of her life. On Aug. 24, 1904, she married Warren Graves
in Covington. He preceded her in death in 1960. She was a member of the Hillsboro
Christian Church and a 50-year member of Fern Chapter, 194, Order of the Eastern Star. She
was a charter member of the Cain Township Farm Bureau, Cain Township Home Demonstration
Club and the Fountain County Choral Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Warren
of Waynetown; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Foxworthy of Hillsboro; a brother, Homer Frazier of
Oakland, Calif., and four nieces. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marie
Graves. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Crumley Funeral Home in
Hillsboro with Rev. Ross Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
