Crawfordsville Journal Review 13-Oct-1959 2: 4- Lucretia Keeling, Hillsboro, Dies-
HILLSBORO- Mrs. Lucretia Keeling, 78-year-old life-long resident of this community, died
shortly after noon Monday in the Rudisill Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Keeling had
been a patient at the nursing home for two weeks. Her husband, Charles has also been a
patient at the nursing home two weeks. Born July 22, 1881, near Hillsboro, she was the
daughter of Lewis and Emily Edwards Starnes. Mr. and Mrs. Keeling were married in July,
1904. They farmed south of Hillsboro for a number of years until retirement 14 years ago.
Since that time they had made their home in this community. Mrs. Keeling was a member of
the Prairie Chapel Christian Church. Survivors in addition to the husband, are a son,
Russell Keeling of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Livengood of Kingman; two
granddaughters and two grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday
at
Crumley Funeral Home here with Rev. Sheldon Garriott officiating. Burial will be in Rose
Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
