Cora Mae Thompson, 68, was found dead of natural causes at her home, Rt. 2 Veedersburg,
early Sunday morning. She had been in failing health several years and seriously ill the
last 11 months. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Myra Jean Anders, who lived wit her mother;
four grandchildren; for sisters, Mrs. Hattie Robinson of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Helen
Nason of Pontiac, Ill., Mrs. Mildred Johnson of St. Louis and mrs. Dorothty Brown of Ben
Lomon, Calif.; two brothers, Edward Knutesen of Ransom, Ill., and Everette Knutesen of
Stockton, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thomson was a daughter of Edward H.
and Mildred Iler Knutesen and was born Sept. 18, 1894 at Ponitac, Ill., living in that
neighborhood until 1954 when she moved to Rt. 2 Veedersburg. She married Joseph Thompson
Sept. 17, 1924. He died April 20, 1957. She was employed for 26 years at shoe
factories in the Pontiac area. She was a member of the Christian Church there. Funeral
rites are set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the R. J. Harris Funeral Home in Pontiac, with
Rev. Ivan Reiss officiating and interment in Livingston County Memorial Park there. The
body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, where friends may call, and
will be taken Tuesday afternoon to Pontiac, where friends may call the Harris Funeral Home
after 4 p.m.
