Covington -- Anna May Allen, 78, a life-long resident of Stringtown, died Sunday in St.
Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She was born on March 23, 1895 at Strington, the daughter
of Giacomo and Katherine Mark (Marco?) Berto. She married Zimmie Allen on Feb 13, 1918.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Milliard B. Allen and a daughter, Mrs. Eugene
(Millicent) Hadley, both of Rt 1, Covington; 3 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held 1
p.m. Wednesday in Bodine & SHelby Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Vernon officiating.
Interment will followin Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2
p.m. Tuesday.

community, died at 10:56 p.m. Saturday, Dec 1, 1973 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had
been a patient a few hours. Born March 23, 1895 in Stringtown she was the daughter of
Giacomo and Catherine Mark Berto. She was married Feb 13, 1913 to Zimmie Allen who
survives. Other survivors include a son, Millard B. of Covington Rt 1, a daughter, Mrs.
Eugene (Millicent) Hadley of Covington Rt 1; three grandchildren and two great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Services will
be at 1 p.m.. Wednesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Donald
Vernon will officiate. Burial will bein Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received after
2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
