Journal Review 29-Oct-1962, page 5- Lifelong Framer Of Near Veeders Succumbs at
80- VEEDERSBURG- Robert Henry Dice, lifelong farmer of near Veedersburg and
prominent in Masonic circles in Fountain County for many years, died at 8:50
p.m. Saturday at his home on Rt. 2. He had been in failing health the past
year, his condition becoming serious earlier this month. He was born April 10,
1882 to Freeman and Vintentia Greenley Dice. He was married Feb. 23, 1903 to
Sue Henderson of Crawfordsville, who died Sept. 29, 1926. He was wed Oct. 11,
1942 to Frances Martin, who survives. Also surviving are two sons by the first
marriage, Harold H. Dice of Indianapolis and Clarence M. Dice of Brighton,
Ont.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Donald Strawser of Indianapolis; a grandson; a
brother, Hardy F. Dice of Converse, and a sister, Mrs. Lena Reed of
Veedersburg. Mr. Dice was a member of the New Century EUB Church. He was a past
master of F&AM Lodge 499 and past worthy patron of Valetta Chapter OES. He
also was a past president of the Fountain County Past Master Association. He
was a Veedersburg High School graduate and attended Wabash College. The body is
at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home, where arrangements are pending the arrival
of the son from Canada.
