I have no idea who this woman is, but my great-grandfather was one of the pallbearers at
her funeral!

Member Of First Christian Church- Mrs. Narcissa Eva Keller, 92, a Crawfordsville resident
since 1901 and considered the oldest member of the First Christian Church, died shortly
after midnight Thursday in the Rudisill Nursing Home. She was born June 5, 1869, in
Fountain County and her parents were Elias and Sarah Jane Young Livengood. On April 8,
1885, she married E. M. Keller. He died in 1958. Shortly after their marriage, the couple
lived near Wallace, coming to Crawfordsville in 1901. She was a member of Circle I of the
Christian Women’s Fellowship at the First Christian Church. She also attended Fountain
County schools. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roy D. Shields of Crawfordsville; two
granddaughters, Mrs. Robert T. Maze of Lebanon and Prof. Dorothy Ann Shields of New
Brunswick, N. J., and two great-grandchildren, Jimmie and Janie Maze of Lebanon. She was
preceded in death by her husband; an infant son, Walter Ernest; four brothers, and a
sister. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, in the Bright Funeral Home with Rev.
Paul E. Million officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may
call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
