This is interesting - we moved here in November 1955 -- phone number
I
remember was 139 - ring one -- party line. One number kept ringing so
much that I listened in that day and found Dr. George Crane's marine son
had crashed his plane around Chicago -- out in country -- to save killing
people. Otherwise did not listen!! Will probably alert some people to
see this phone list -- people who would enjoy it. Betty
