Crawfordsville Journal Review 19-Feb-1964 14: 3- Former Kingman Resident Dies At Home Of
Niece- KINGMAN- Clarence Thompson, 77-year-old former resident of this community, died
Monday afternoon at the home of a niece, Doris Farthington, near Attica. He had sustained
a heart attack earlier in the day. Mr. Thompson was an electrician with Frankfort Power
& Light Co. 25 years before retiring in 1951. He was born Nov. 25, 1886 at Cates, son
of Willard and Laura Ann Swank Thompson. He was married to Edna West. Survivors include
the niece at whose home he died; five sons, Harold and Paul, both of California, Charles
of Michigan City, Jim of Muncie and Clarence, who is serving in the U. S. Army and is
stationed in Georgia; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Blazer of Portland and Mrs. Martha White
of Covington; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at Woodrow Funeral Home here with Rev. Larry McMillan officiating. Interment
will be in Harveysburg Cemetery north of here. Friends may call at the funeral home.
