Crawfordsville Journal Review 22-May-1963 14- Ira Eston Keller Of Wallace Dies; Rites
Thursday- WALLACE- Ira Eston Keller, 75, a resident of this community all his life, died
at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient
since May 11. Born in Parke County June 20, 1887, he was a son of Manson and Virginia
Wilkinson Keller. He was married Feb. 6, 1907 to Nettie Hayden of Wallace. She died March
8, 1945. On May 8, 1955 Mr. Keller was wed to Opal Kennedy at Crawfordsville. He was a
caretaker for the Wallace Lutheran and Wolf Creek Cemeteries. Surviving besides his wife,
Opal, are a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Patrick of Waynetown; two granddaughters, Mrs. Kathleen
Grimble of near Waynetown and Mrs. Ruth Ann Ruby of Zionsville; seven great-grandchildren,
and three brothers, Frank Keller of near Waynetown, Roscoe Keller of Marshall and Guy
Keller of Veedersburg. Two brothers, Herley of Waynetown and Daniel of Veedersburg,
are deceased. Funeral services are announced for 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Servies
Funeral Home in Waynetown, where friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. John
Servies will officiate, and burial will be in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.
