i haven't done cain township yet, but found something else you might like.
william douglas bailey, born in 1865 to thomas and sarah gaylor bailey, early settlers of
cain township, and margaret ann bruner, born in 1866 to jacob and mary e. mcbee bruner,
early settlers of jackson township, were married in 1886. bill and annie bailey made their
home on their farm north of hillsboro, bounding the big four railroad, where they farmed.
he worked as a railroad foreman while the big four railroad was being built through
hillsboro and surrounding area until he retired in 1930. they were the parents of one
daughter, elsie mae, born in 1887. elsie received her schooling in hillsboro.
so sarah was thomas's wife's name. it goes on with other names down william's
family. the family now lives in the newtown area. i checked that cemetary and thomas nor
sarah are there. there is one cemetary i have in mind that is inside hillsboro they could
be in. i am slowly getting them done by townships, so cain will be on my list. if i find
them, i will let you know.
