Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Wallace - Mrs. Ina Carlile, 73, long a resident of Fountain County, died
at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis, where she
had been a patient two weeks.Mrs. Carlile moved to Indiana from Illinois
while a child and resided with her grandparents at Hammond until her
marriage.She lived in Fountain County after her marriage.She was born
March 12, 1900, at Roanoke, Ill.She first married John Bever of
Hillsboro.She later married Marvin Carlile at Wallace.He preceded her in
death in April, 1971.Surviving are two sons, Glen Bever of Linnsburg and
Paul Bever of California; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Campton of
Indianapolis; a step-son, Kenneth Carlile of Crawfordsville; three
step-daughters, Mrs. Esther Bryant, of Waynetown; Mrs. Berniece Myers of
Waveland and Mrs. Barbara Keller of Wallace; five grandchildren; 15
step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 10
step-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two
brothers.Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Servies-Thomas
Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. John C. Stacy officiating.Burial
will be in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral
home after 3 p.m. Sunday.The family requests memorial contributions be
made to the Heart Fund.

Thank you. Please go ahead and put my query on the listserve. Maybe I will
find some long-lost relative this way. The Rowens spent about 10-15 years in
Indiana and then took all their family to Hardin County, Iowa where many of them
remain today. I found a couple of articles about the Rowens being instrumental
in getting some of the towns in your area started and were some of the early
settlers. Thanks again for your prompt response. You can list my e-mail

I will add Rowen& Drollinger for you on the surname list. Would you also like
for me to put your query on the Fountain Co Listserve? It's often a good way to
contact others researching the names. Drollinger is a popular name in Fountain
but I had never heard of Rowen as many years as I've searched there. Good luck
with it - do think about there may not be a stone at this point in time - 1832
is 180 years ago and cows, people, erosion .... plus if they had other children
they may have put just a small stone that is long gone.
