Hi Jean Tucker,
Fancy meeting you here! Glad to find you on-line.
This is more in terms of Phineas's parents.
He or someone of the same name served as bondsman in the marriage of Joseph Newton & Lydia Back in Garrard Co KY 28 Sept 1824. They had son named Elijah, as did Phineas. Joseph was son of Nancy Newton whose will was probated May 1832 Garrard Co. siblings named Samuel, Nancy, Elizabeth & Phineas "who had left the country". As you know Phineas had moved to Fountain Co Ind by 8 Jul 1929 where he married Nancy Hickman.
I have email from Darwin Newton in 1998 whose ggrandfather was Samuel, executor of Nancy's will. He read the 1820 Garrard Co census and finds Nancy with 4 males btwn 16 and 26, who fit Samuel b ca 1793 VA, Joseph b ca 1797 VA & Phineas born 1802 VA, 4th unknown. Also 2 females btwn 10 and 16 probably Elizabeth (who married James Turpin son of Hugh Turpin in Oct 1820), & Nancy who married Will Brown 1830 and was still in Garrard Co with Samuel and Joseph in 1850. Nancy Brown received her mother's house, land and one bed, $1 each to Samuel, Joseph, Elizabeth Turpin & Phineas, the rest to be divided among all her grandchildren. Darwin says also there were 2 Lewis families in Garrard Co KY in 1820, Samuel & Nat. I already knew that but didn't put the Lewis-Newton thing together at that time. I had put the family away for a while, but recently got after it again. Tried to send him an email yesterday for undates, which wasn't rejected by the server, so hope to hear from him again.!
So good to find you,

I'm looking for any information on THOMAS TAGUE and his children. They were living in Fountain Co. in 1830. He had three children by his first wife, do not know her name, they were Daniel b.1814 married Mary Wilkinson in 1835 then Louisa Hill in 1842. Rebecca b.1818 married Joseph Burton in 1835 and John W. b.1820 married Elizabeth Watson 1839.
Thomas later married Elizabeth McGill in Washington Co. on Feb. 1822 and they had two more children. Thomas Jefferson b.1822 and Alexander b.1825.
1840 Census lists Daniel living in Wabash township married with three children and John W. in Cain township.
1850 census shows only Daniel still in Wabash township with his wife Louisa and sons John ,Calvin D., and Alvin. Daughters Mary J. and Matilda.
I know that Thomas Jefferson moved to Iowa but don't know what happened to the rest of the family.
Any help about this family would really be appreciated.

I found a listing of a number of marriages in Fountain Co in early 1830's in Fountain. I have an ancestor Beverly(male) YOUNG who married in 1831 to Eliza Reynolds. There is also a Sarah Young who married John Aldridge 7-25-1835 and a James Young who married Rachael Ridgeway 2-15-1831. Does anyone know how I might get information on who gave consent or paid bond or ages of couples?
Thanks,
Zahn

Hello
I am sorry but I have no information on the children of the second marriage of Peter Anderson but so far as I know there were only daughters, so any other Andersons by name would have to be of another line.
Good luck
Hi,
Does anyone have access to a Cemetery Index? I'm trying to locate burial
location for Elihu Huffman (d. 1901?), wife Nancy (Pavey) and any children.
They were residents of Fulton Twp.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
G. Swoik
