May Topic - “THE ISLAND of the RECORD KEEPERS”
Genealogist Marie Byatt will present a workshop on researching English
ancestry and explore the history of British records for the last 1000
years, why they were createdand kept and how to use them in genealogical
research.

Upcoming Meetings Scheduled - Mark Your Calendars
June 4, 2015 - The Tuley Homestead
Kelly Carnighan, director of the Silver Hills Historical Society, will give
a hisory of the Tuley Homestead of Silver Hills (ca 1821-1891). The Tuleys,
one of the first families to settle in Floyd County, were significant
participants in business, community service, and the military.
July 2, 2015 - Stories of the First Families
Descendants of original settlers of Floyd, Clark, and Harrison Counties
will share ancestral accounts including those of the Albin, Dewees, Kepley,
Lewis, Rakestraw and Whiteman families.
Program time for our monthly meetings Thursday, 7 PM in the Strassweg
Auditorium of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, 180 W. Spring
St., New Albany, Indiana.
