The April 2, 2015 meeting of the Southern Indiana Genealogical Society
Meets at the New Albany Library tomorrow night.
*Jeanne Burke, Clark County historian and president of the Clark County
Museum, Inc., will present “Jeffersonville in the Steamboat Era: Town
Characters” at the April 2 program of the Southern Indiana Genealogical
Society. Ms. Burke will tell stories of noteworthy people and animals of
Clark County including Rev. Henry Foster Smith, inventor Stephen Sharp, and
Billy the Circus Horse. Program time is 7 PM in the Strassweg Auditorium of
the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, 180 W. Spring St., New Albany,
Indiana.*
