Mrs. Bridget MURPHY, wife of John A. MURPHY, died yesterday afternoon at the family
residence, 1237 Vincennes street, after a long illness of heart trouble. She was
fifty-seven years old and besides her husband is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank
M. GENUNG, Miss Ida MURPHY and Miss Myrtle MURPHY, of this city, and Mrs. A. R. HEITZ, of
Springfield, Ill. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic church and a greatly esteemed
woman.

John A. MURPHY, formerly of this city, died Saturday night [23rd] at Indianapolis. The
body arrived here Sunday night [24th] and was taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Frank M. GENUNG, 1922 Ekin avenue. He was fifty-seven year [1855] old and leaves several
children. He was a member of Manzanita Tribe of Red Men and of the Knights of Pythias.
The funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic church.

John A. MURPHY, who moved from this city to Indianapolis about six months ago, died
Saturday evening at his home in that city and the body arrived here Saturday and was taken
to home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank M. GENUNG, 1922 Ekin avenue. Mr. MURPHY was
fifty-seven years old and besides Mrs. GENUNG leaves three other daughters, Mrs. A. R.
[Mary J. w/o Adam] HEIZ, of Springfield, Ill., and Misses Ida and Myrtle MURPHY of
Indianapolis. He was a varnisher by trade for over twenty-five years was employed in the
factory of the Henry Klerner Furniture Company. He was a member of Manzanita Tribe of Red
Men; Rowena Lodge, Knights of Pythias, and the Alsace-Lorraine Society under whose
auspices the funeral services were held.

Mrs. Eva GENUNG, widow of F. A. GENUNG, formerly of this city, died at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Thomas BLUMEEYER, 6627 Pershing avenue, St. Louis, according to a telegram
received by Walter E. GENUNG, Charlestown boulevard, Wednesday morning. Besides her
brother, Charles, HAGEN?, Alhambra, Calif., she is survived by two grandchildren.
